Run 1937

Run 1937 - 2. November 2009

The LOCATION
Met Bureau Golf Ball hill, Berrimah Rd

The RUN
Set by: Quarter-Off

There are not too many hills in the Darwin area but Quarteroff managed to set false trails up both of them. At 18.00hrs Browneye sent a pack of 29 runners on up the hill towards the Met Golf Ball. Surprise surprise, it was a false trail. We back tracked and then went across Berrimah Road, and left in the direction of East Arm. Just past the Wishart rd intersection we re-crossed Berrimah road and headed up the Railway track towards Adelaide. Left across Wishart road and into the bush and another falsie up a hill. Onto Berrimah farm and then left back towards Berrimah Rd and Home. I think we were all home before 1900hrs. Not a bad run.

BACK AT THE TRAILER
The sandflies were horrendous and Gonzo and Headjob drove off and got us some repellant.

THE BOOZE
The usual VB and Cascade light stubbies

THE CIRCLE
In the absence of Gash, our glorious Vice GM, Barbwire started proceedings at 1959hrs. Choir Master, Gonzo kept the pack in some sort of control.

DOWN DOWNS

Animal and Steakout got Downdowns for continuously sponging a lift to hash from Fatboy. Full Bottle was iced for his Mobile Phone ringing during the Circle. Headjob, Tony, Rice and Hammo were fined for not running (I think there were a couple of others) SBS was fined for being on the phone to her little girl, Natalie. (she may have escaped a down down –not sure) Gonzo picked up Rice for wearing odd runners

New Runners – Oops, forgot his name, Hammo’s mate from Brisbane/Townsville Returning Runners – Willing, Hammo (Who hasn’t paid) and Tony the Pom

Visitors – Nobody Chook

Fucker (aka Chicken Botherer) Barb Wire still has the chook.

JOKES – Goose told a good one about Tight Fisted Scotsmen

The Circle finished at 2019hrs

THE TUCKER Sausages and very nice steak sangers with cheese
