Run 1833
Run 1833 29 October 2007
Roundabout corner of McMillans & Vanderlin road
The RUN
Set by HIV & Enola
And in the beginning there was confusion because we were lost and I am sure we were lost in translation. Do we really meet next to a big roundabout in the middle of nowhere? It was 5.45pm and no hare somewhere to been seen. But as usual help was on its way. We saw (no not a light) we saw GMs car parking further down on Vandelin drive. So everyone went back into their cars and drove over. Finally at the right spot we could have started the games, I mean we started the run. The run was set on flour and on toilet paper.
Sound not too bad but as a little bird told us later our hare had to set this run twice because he set it first on flour but it was raining in the night so he had to set it again and replaced some lost flour with toilet paper. It was through bush land and up and down the hills. Walkers were told there would be a piss stop at the entrance of homes jungles but when we arrived there was nothing. So we went up to the main picknick spot but because there was also nobody we decided to go back. In the meantime Enola arrived and set up the piss stop so on our way back we stopped there. Runners arrived at the same time at the piss stop. Afterwards it was back to the trailer.
We had more returners this time and even got another committee member back. So the first down down was for our returners: LLL, Genset, OBI, Braman and Alzheimer. And this week we also had some drinking visitors and even a child (which is more than unsual, but I am sure we didn't just find it in the jungle). So Phil, Tayla and I think Jim and another one - because we had four visitors from Victoria and one from Kalgorie. They got their down down for turning up at Darwin hash.
Mormon was the first person who wanted to sit on ice and so he volunteered or sort off. Goose had to leave earlier because it was his youngest son 17th birthday so we had no joke for Mormon. But our chuck it back. It was travelling to Alice Springs and had a great time in the car so we were told at least. It didn't look too bad, not really like a holiday chuck but at least it still looked fluffy.
Next issue is something to remember and just in case GM will forget it next Monday make sure you remind him: Princess Laid has been coming to Hash without shoes two times now. The reason for this very strange behaviour is simple. She bought new shoes. I know you might ask now so what, yes she bought new shoes but wouldn't like to drink out of these shoes, so she prefers to walk without shoes. GM promised she has to drink out whatever she will wear next Monday.
Personally I a not really sure what it means because if she comes again without shoes does it mean she has to take off her hash shirt and drink out of it? But we will find out next Monday so make sure you are there. She also got our fluffy chick now and got a down down. Mormon got his down down and was told never point again at a hasher, hope he will remember now.
Noworries told us his version about a dog drama which happened two years ago and why he might go to jail.1/4off fined Saint Physio because one keg was flat and Physio admitted it. Braman wanted to fine our GM but because you can't really fine a GM he asked him to name a whipping boy. But our GM refused to name a whipping boy and took the fine himself. Apparently he forgot to contact Foster in regards to our sponsorship so Braman rang them and fixed it for another year. Well done! CBD got a fine because he will go and live in Tennant Creek (really who wants to live in Tennant Creek?) Our hares HIV and Enola got their down down and we started our Asian feast including Hors d'oeuvres afterwards.
The SCORE
Tucker: Asian dishes
6 for the run (2 for organising it, 1 bringing tucker, +1 bush run, +2 well marked trail) , +0.5 for piss stop, +2 Non BBQ tucker
HIV and Enola scored: 8.5 points
The Words of wisdom
KFC to CBD “Monday is the only day now, when you are allowed to talk more than two words, right?” I am pretty sure if this is not the case but maybe we can set a similar rule for you for Mondays just to balance it.
