Run 1888

Run 1888 - 24. November 2008

The LOCATION

Alawa Oval

The RUN
Set by Committee/ Furburger

This time we had something new or better something really old. A live hare run, it means the hare sets the run 5 min before the pack starts and they have to catch him. These runs are set on flour and luckily we got no rain for this run. All runners tried to follow the hare but walkers just did a walk around the block and some even went for a beer. So walkers were back after 30 min and 10 min later the hare arrived back from his run. By 7pm all runners found their way back and looked a little bit sweaty because of the heat. Two runner were caught walking hand in hand back but we didn't ask if they actually did the run.

The CIRCLE
Our trailer will be back next week but this week we had a dark circle again. We started with 3 visitors and two of them were Virgin Blues guests. One visitor was from Perth and the other two from Darwin (they might even come back). We had two returning hashers: Rowdy and Kanake. So both got their returning down downs. Sexon was put on ice because her dog knocked over a beer last week and as usual the owner gets the fine. By the way can anybody tell me why Ngun always licks our bedpan? Kanake got the next fine for stealing mangos from the Chinese cemetery even she insisted it wasn't a cemetery at all. Rhino (in a pink shirt) was fine master and fined Bones for complaining about the colour of his shirt. Rice was fined for telling Chilibush the setup on the oval was for our hash and Braman was fined for not talking Rhino to a promised beer stop at Browneye's. Again we had a GM, Goose and Virgin Blue joke and we had to put Cricket on the ice for talking to much. He needed to cool down a bit. Bones got the chook for walking back from the CBD to his home. No hasher walks that long! Last we had Furburger up for playing the hare for this committee run.
